Reverie

This tutorial was written by me on October 8th, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Selisan Al-Gaib. You can purchase his tubes here.

PTU kit from MellieBeans called Reverie. You can purchase the kit here.

Font of choice. I am using DJB Room Mother.

Open e32. Resize by 65%, all layers unchecked. Resize all layers by 75%.

Open e50. Resize by 30%. Paste as a new layer. Duplicate, flip horizontal. Place to the right side of the original. Merge these two layers together.

Open e49. Resize by 30%. Place between the two leaves we just added. Rotate a little to the left. Merge down. Place this leaf cluster so it is slightly above the top of the frame. Duplicate, free rotate, 90 to the right. Place as you did with the top. Repeat two more times. Merge all the leaf layers together.

Duplicate the leaf layer, rotate to the right so that you have a nice circle of leaves. Merge the two leaves layers together & move this layer to the bottom.

On the frame layer, use your magic wand & click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10. Open pp12. Paste as a new layer just above the leaves layer. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect.

Now lets add the remaining elements:

e03 – resize by 50%. Paste above the frame layer. Place over the right side of the top of the frame.
e11 – resize by 60%. Place to the bottom right. Duplicate, rotate to the right 180 degrees.
e04 – resize by 25%. Place to the upper right corner of the frame. Rotate slightly to the right.
e09 – resize by 83%, flip vertical. Place to the bottom.
e25 – resize by 80%, flip vertical. Place to the bottom. Rotate slightly to the right.
e38 – resize by 64%. Place to the bottom.
e10 – resize by 20%. Place over the leaves you just added.
e23 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom right with the inner edge of the frame to the left side of the shoe.
e26 – resize by 40%. Place to the left of the shoe.

Open your tube. Copy & paste as a new layer just above the paper layer. Arrange your tube inside the frame. On the paper layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, 50. On the original tube layer, set the opacity to somewhere around 32.

Paste your tube again just above the deco swirl layer, resizing as necessary. Place towards to the left side of the frame. Use your eraser tool and erase any part of the tube that hangs below the shoe layer. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, 50.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
