Vintage Halloween

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Font of choice. I am using Rude Basic.

Open your template. Delete the following layers: copyright, Layer 1, white rec, & bg. Merge together the two green circle layers.

Open your mask & PP9. Resize your paper by 75%. Paste as a new layer above your Background layer. Set your canvas size to 750 x 750. Resize by 80%.

Apply your mask, merge group. Lower the opacity to 60.

Replace each layer with the following (resize each paper by 75% before replacing each layer):

Green circle layer right – PP6
Green rounded rec – PP11
Blk rounded rec – PP3
Grey rounded rec – PP8

Now lets add our elements:

Dangles – resize by 50%. Place to the top.
Clouds – paste as a new layer. Place to your liking.
Bow1 – resize by 40%. Place to the top left, slightly in from the left side.
Sign – resize by 50%, flip horizontal. Place to the right side.
Ribbon2 – resize by 50%, rotate left. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate & place to the bottom right.
Swirl – resize by 80%. Place to the top of the ribbon.
CandyCornDeco – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom right, just below the sign.
Ghost – resize by 40%. Place to the upper left.
Spider – resize by 25%. Place to the top.
Bat – resize by 30%. Place to the upper right.

Open your tube, resizing slightly. Paste as a new layer above the lightest paper layer. Place over the paper. On the paper layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect.

Duplicate the tube layer. Gaussian blur 3.00. Effects, Artistic Effects, Halftone. Use the following settings:

Set the blend mode to overlay, 55. On the original layer, press Shift+L, 0, 0. Set the blend mode to soft light, 40.

Open your tube again, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer above the ghost layer. Place to your liking.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Guided Tour

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Misticheskaya. You can purchase her tubes here.

PTU kit by BLT DeZignZ called Guided Tour. You can purchase this kit directly from her through her FB Fan Group here.

Font of choice. I am using Willona.

Open a new blank canvas, 851 x 315.

Open PP11. Resize by 24%. Paste as a new layer onto your canvas.

Lets add our elements first:

LightPole – resize by 15%. Place to the right side of you canvas.
Branch – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom right. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the bottom left.
PostCard – resize by 10%. Place to the bottom left corner. Rotate slightly to the left & then move it below the duplicate branch layer.
Flower8 – resize by 6%. Paste as a new layer above the duplicate branch layer. Place to the bottom.
Flower11 – resize by 10%. Place to the left side of the previous flower. Duplicate & place to the right side of the previous flower. Now move the previous flower (first flower) to the top layer.
Money – resize by 8%. Place to the right of the post card.
QuillTip – resize by 6%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom right of the post card.
Camera – resize by 6%. Place to the bottom left corner.
Luggage – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom right corner.
Butterfly – resize by 8%. Place to the left side of the luggage. Rotate slightly to the right.

Open your tube. Paste as a new layer above your paper layer. Duplicate two more times & arrange all three copies over your paper layer. When satisfied with the placement, merge your tube layers together. Duplicate, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen. On the original merged tubes layer, set the blend mode to Soft Light.

On the screen layer, Effects, Artistic Effects, Halftone using the following settings:

Paste your tube again, this time just above the duplicate branch layer. Resize your tube as necessary & place to your liking. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen.

Click on the top layer in your layer palette. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #ecf2e8. Select all, modify, contract by 8. Press delete & deselect.

Select all again.

Open PP5 & resize by 24%. Paste as a new layer. Selections, modify, contract by 5. Press delete & deselect. Add noise to this layer, gaussian, 50, monochrome checked.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice.

For your avatar:

Use your crop tool to crop the area of the timeline that you wish to use. I made the avatar 160 x 160.

Delete your frame layers & your text layers. Re-add your frame layers as before & then retype your name, copyright, & license info.

Save each as a PNG.

Pirouette

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Ana Neves. You can purchase her tubes here.

Template 804 by Millie’s PSP Madness. You can find it here.

Mask 2 by me. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Pateglamt Script.

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 800 x 700. Resize all layers by 75%. Delete the following layers: credits, 14, 13, 12, & 11.

Merge together the following layers: 1 & 2; 3 & 4; 5 & 6; 7 & 8.

Open PP13. Resize by 17%. Open your mask & minimize it. Paste your paper as a new layer just above the background layer of your template. Apply your mask, merge group.

Replace each layer with the following (resize each paper by 17% before replacing the template layers):

1 – PP6
3 – PP11
5 – PP12
7 – PP3
9 – PP5

On layer 10, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #bca4d8. Deselect & delete the original layer.

Now lets add our elements:

Umbrella – resize by 10%. Paste as a new layer above the raster 5 layer. Place to the top right, rotate slightly to the right.
Bow2 – resize by 6%. Paste as a new layer above the top layer. Rotate slightly to the left. Place to the upper left corner of the purple frame.
ClockHands – resize by 15%. Place to the upper right corner of the frame. Duplicate, free rotate to the right 180 degrees. Place to the bottom left corner of the frame.
Dress – resize by 30%. Place to the right side.
Feathers – resize by 8%. Place to the bottom.
Telephone – resize by 8%. Place to the bottom right.
Branch – resize by 8%, rotate right. Place to the bottom.
Flower9 – resize by 8%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom left of the frame.
Dancer – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom left.
Flower1 – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom right of the dancer.
BalletShoes – resize by 5%. Place to the bottom left of the dancer.
Heart – resize by 10%. Place to the right side of flower1. Rotate slightly to the right.
Cat – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom right, between the heart & the phone.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer above the duplicate ClockHands. Arrange your tube over the frame. Erase any part of the tube that extends below the flowers or beyond the dancer. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Overlay, 80.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Secretly

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Chris Pastel. I purchased this tube when he sold through Inzpired Creationz Store, which is now closed. You can now purchase his tubes here and here.

PTU kit from BLT DeZignZ called Secretly. You can purchase this kit directly from her in her fan group here.

Template 810 by Millie’s PSP Madness. You can find it here.

Mask 9 by HorsePlay’s Pasture. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Nouradilla.

Open your template. Delete the following layers: credits, 13, 11, 9, 7, & 5.

Merge together the following layers: 1 & 2; 3 & 4; 8, 10, & 12.

Resize all layers by 86%. Set the canvas size to 600 x 500.

Open your mask & PP12. Resize your paper by 17%. Copy & paste your paper as a new layer above the background layer of your template. Apply your mask, merge group.

Replace each layer with the following (resize each paper by 17% before replacing each template layer):

1 – PP14
3 – PP4
6 – PP8
8 – PP7

On your top layer, select all, float, defloat. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Open PP3 & resize by 17%. Copy & paste as a new layer just below this top layer. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Adjust, add noise, gaussian, 25, monochrome checked.

Now to add our elements:

Flower9 – resize by 32%. Paste as a new layer just above the large square layer.
Scatter – resize by 14%, flip vertical. Paste as a new layer above all the other layers. Place to the top of the template.
Book – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom left. Rotate slightly to the left.
Chain – resize by 10%. Place to the upper left corner of the far left small square.
Bow2 – resize by 8%. Place to the top of the chain.
Flower2 – resize by 8%. Place to the upper right.
Angel – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom right.
Tassel – resize by 15%. Place to the left side of the book.
Heart2 – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom of the book. Rotate slightly to the right.
Necklace – resize by 28%. Place to the bottom.
Flower8 – resize by 4%. Place to the bottom, along the necklace.
Flower1 – resize by 6%. Place to the right side of the previous flower. Move this layer below the previous flower layer. Duplicate & place to the left side of the top flower.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer above the top squares layer. Arrange over the squares On the top squares layer, select all, float, defloat. On each tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. If you see any tube copy showing over another copy, just use your eraser tool to erase it. Merge your tube layers together. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen. On the original merged layer, set the opacity to 35.

Paste your tube again, this time above the flower in the upper right corner. Place to your liking.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Merge visible & save as a PNG.
