A Delightful Day

This tutorial was written by me on April 8th, 2018 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP 2018

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

PTU kit from Wicked Princess Scraps called A Delightful Day. You can purchase this kit here or here.

Mask 143 from Gems Tagging Scraps. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using A Gentle Touch.

Open Frame 2. Set the canvas size to 600 x 600.

With your magic wand tool, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Open PP12 & resize by 75%. Paste your paper as a new layer onto your frame canvas. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect & move your paper below your frame layer.

Open your mask & PP9. Resize your paper the same size as before. Paste as a new layer & move below the first paper layer. Apply your mask, merge group. Duplicate, then merge down.

Open DOODLE3. Resize by 80%. Paste as a new layer. Place to the right side of your canvas. Duplicate, image, mirror horizontal. Merge down with the original then move this layer just above the mask layer. Add noise, random, 30, monochrome checked.

Now let’s add our remaining elements.

CLOUD1 – resize by 80%. Paste as a new layer above the frame layer. Place to the top right corner of your frame.

TREE2 – place over the right side of the frame.

UNICORN1 – resize by 60%. Place to the bottom.

CUPCAKE3 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom right.

CANDY1 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom left, a little up from the bottom. Rotate slightly to the right.

CUPCAKE2 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom left.

FLOWER5 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right of the left cupcake. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the bottom left of the left cupcake.

FLOWER3 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom, between the two pink flowers.

Add your name, copyrights/credits, & license info if using a PTU tube.

Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

PSP Version used: PSP 2018

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Nocturne. You can purchase her tubes here.

PTU kit from Wicked Princess Scraps called Maven. You can find her store links here.

Font of choice. I am using Awesawez.

Filters:

DSB Flux – Bright Noise

Open your template.

Delete all the layers above the dark purple rectangle layer, the pixel text layer, & the dotted square layer.

Set your canvas size to 1050 x 818. Resize your template by 57%.

Merge together the following layers:

gray rectangle top & gray rectangle bottom

lilac rectangle left & lilac rectangle right

dark square right & dark square left

gray square right & gray square left

purple square right & purple square left

Replace each layer with the following:

**Resize each paper by 75% before adding to layer**

back purple rectangle – PP8

gray rectangle bottom – PP15

large purple rectangle – PP1

lilac rectangle right – PP6

dark square left – PP13

gray square left – PP20

purple square left – PP18

dark puprle rectangle – PP2

On the white rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #fafafa. Deselect & delete the original layer.

DSB Flux – Bright Noise, click on the ‘Mix’ a few times and click ok.

Open Flower13 & resize by 50%. Place to the far right and move this layer just above the striped black paper layer. Duplicate, mirror horizontal. Duplicate. Rotate roughly about 20-25 degrees to the right. Place towards the top. Duplicate, mirror horizontal. On the first duplicate, duplicate & then rotate left 90 degrees. Move to the bottom left. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

Now let’s add our remaining elements:

BOW – resize by 40%. Paste as a new layer above the top rectangle layer. Place to the top of this layer.

CLOUD1 – resize by 70%. Place over the center of your template layers.

DRAGON – resize by 50%, flip horizontal. Place to the top right.

MUD – resize by 60%. Place to the bottom.

FLOWER4 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom right. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

BOOK1 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom, a little to the right.

BALL1 – resize by 40%. Place to the right of the book.

SKULL4 – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom left the top rectangle layer.

LAMP1 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom left.

DECO7 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom right of the lamp.

FLOWER9 – resize by 40%. Place to the left of the stone.

FLOWER11 – resize by 25%. Place between the skull & the book.

Open your tube. Paste as a new layer above the top rectangle layer. Resize slightly and place over the right of the rectangle, slightly down from the top. On the rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Set the blend mode to overlay.

Paste your tube again, this time above the duplicate black flower layer. Resize as necessary & place to the left.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Turn The Page

PTU kit from Dees’Sign Depot called Turn The Page. You can purchase the kit here.

Font of choice. I am using Julliyus Script.

Filters: EyeCandy 4000 Glass

Open a new blank image, 600 x 400.

Open Spray 9. Paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas.

Open Element 84. Resize by 40%. Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Place to the right side. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

Open Element 56c. Resize by 40%, rotate left. Place over the right dry leaves. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

Open Element 64. Resize by 40%. Place slightly to the left of the center. Rotate slightly to the left. Now move this layer below the green leaves layer.

Open Element 42. Resize by 40%. Place in the center of the leaves.

Open Element 28. Resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left of the lantern. Move just below the lantern layer. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

Open Element 96. Resize by 60%. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.

Open Element 76. Resize by 30%. Paste as a new layer above the lantern layer. Place towards the top of the lantern.

Open Element 74. Resize by 30%. Place to the right side, so the bird looks like it’s sitting on the right rose.

Open Element 57. Resize by 45%. Place to the bottom left.

Type your name, then convert to raster layer. Then EyeCandy 4000 Glass using the default settings or settings of your choice.

Add a gradient glow if you’d like. I generally do this with most of my text.

Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
