Versailles

This tutorial was written by me on September 3rd, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of VeryMany. You can purchase this tube here.

PTU kit from MellieBeans called Versailles. You can purchase it here.

Font of choice. I am using KG Call Me Maybe – Skinny.

Open a new blank image, 600 x 250.

Open pp08 & paste as a new layer.

Next we’ll add our elements:

e 28 – resize by 89%. Place so the top of the element is slightly above the top.
e 31 – resize by 35%. Place to the far right, slightly down.
e 34 – resize by 35%. Place to the far left, slightly down.
e 17 – resize by 25%. Place to the right side of the books.
e 44 – place to your liking.
e 40 – resize by 25%, rotate right. Place to the bottom right corner. Duplicate, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom left corner.
e 22 – resize by 30%. Place to the top.
e 13 – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom, just right of the center. Duplicate, flip horizontal. Place just to the left of the center.
e 45 – resize by 89%. Place to the bottom.
e 42 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom, between the bottle & the far right grey flower. Duplicate, flip horizontal. Place between the far left grey flower & the left bottle.
e 07 – resize by 20%. Place between the two bottles at the bottom.

Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #ffffff. Select all, modify, contract by 3. Press delete & deselect. Open pp03. Paste as a new layer. Crop your canvas to 600 x 250. Select all, modify, contract by 2. Merge down.

Open your tube and resize as necessary. I resized by 40% for this tube. Place just right of the bow. Move this layer below the frame we just made.

Add your name (I used pp03 as the pattern for my text), copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice. Save as a PNG.

For the avatar:

Duplicate your original image. Delete the text & frame layers. Merge visible. Crop the portion of your image that you wish to use to about 200 x 200. Repeat the steps for the frame & drop shadow, if desired. Add your name or initial, copyright, & license info. Merge visible & save as a PNG.
