I haven’t had much mojo or desire to create lately, but I did manage to put together some new masks for you guys.

Frosted Flakes

This tutorial was written by me on December 27th, 2017 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP 2018

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of VeryMany. You can purchase this tube here.

PTU kit from Scrappin’ With Lil Ole Me called Frosted Flakes. You can purchase the kit here.

Font of choice. I am using Aqualita Italic.

Open the template & mask. Minimize the mask for now.

Open p5 & resize by 60%. Paste as a new layer above the bottom layer of the template. Apply your mask, merge group. With your pick tool, pull the edges of the mask to to edges of your canvas. Make sure you are not skewing the mask. Then duplicate your mask, merge down.

On Raster 2, select all, float, defloat. Open p4. Resize by 60%. Paste as a new layer just above the Raster 2 layer. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect & delete the Raster 2 layer.

On Raster 3, repeat the above but replace the layer with p3.

Now let’s add our elements:

el30 – resize by 85%. Paste as a new layer above the mask layer. Center behind the dotted paper layer.

el33 – resize by 50%; flip horizontal. Paste as a new layer above the frame layer. Place to the left side so that it peeks out behind the left side of the snowflake paper layer.

el70 – resize by 55%. Paste as a new layer above the snowflake paper layer. Place to your liking.

el46 – resize by 60%. Paste as a new layer. Place to the top right of the dotted paper layer. Duplicate & place to the bottom.

el38 – resize by 25%. Paste as a new layer above the original gold pine branch & place over the far left of the top pine branch.

el35 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom of the snowflake paper layer.

el7 – resize by 20%; flip horizontal. Place to the bottom right.

el12 – resize by 30%. Paste as a new layer above the duplicate pine branch. Place to the bottom, centered over the bottom pine branch.

el36 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom left of the snowman.

el8 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom right of the lantern.

Open your tube. Paste as a new layer above the baubles & leaves layer. Flip horizontal & resize as necessary. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, 70.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Save as a png.

Deer Snowflakes

Font of choice. I am using Blessed Script.

Open a new blank image, 600 x 600 px.

Open your mask & Paper 12. Resize your paper by 60%. Paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group. Duplicate your mask layer twice, then merge visible.

Let’s add our elements next:

100 – resize by 50%. Place to the right side.
43 – resize by 12%. Place on the tree, down slightly from the top. Rotate slightly to the left. Duplicate twice. Place one copy to the bottom left of the tree. The other one, flip horizontal & place around the center of the tree, to the right side of the tree.
41 – resize by 20%. Place to the top left of the mask layer. Duplicate three times. Place one copy to the bottom left of the mask, one to the middle left side of the tree, & the other to the bottom right of the tree.
102 – resize by 25%. Place to the top of the mask.
1 – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom left of the wordart.
35 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom right of the tree.
34 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom left.
22 – resize by 15%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom left of the vase.
23 – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom of the vase.
94 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.
78 – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom center.
76 – resize by 25%, rotate left. Place to the left side of the blue flower. Move below the blue flower layer. Duplicate, mirror horizontal.
107 – resize by 50%. Paste as a new layer above the blue flower layer.

Open your tube. Paste as a new layer above the mask layer. Resize slightly & flip horizontal. Place the head of the tube over the mask layer. On the mask layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Lower the opacity to 50.

Paste your tube again, this time above the wordart layer, resizing as necessary. Place to your liking.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Winter Glamour

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Misticheskaya. You can purchase her tubes here.

Font of choice. I am using Sofia Script.

Open your template. Delete the top 3 layers. Resize your template by 86%.

Open your mask & Paper 23. Resize your paper by 60% then paste as a new layer above the background layer. Apply your mask, merge group.

Resize each paper by 60% before doing the next step.*

Replace each layer with the following:

1 – Paper 11

2 – Paper 24

3 – Paper 14

4 – Paper 25 (center the tree over this layer)

6 – Paper 27

On layer 7, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer then set your foreground to #c7ae6a & your background to #fac6d. Set the foreground to fore/back gradient, linear, angle 315, repeats 3. Floodfill your layer with your gradient. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect.

Open Paper 31 & resize the same as your other papers. On your gradient layer, select all, float, defloat. Paste your paper as a new layer. Selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Set the blend mode to Soft Light, 40.

Now let’s add our elements:

29 – resize by 20%. Place to the top right corner of the rectangle layers. Rotate slightly to the right.

134 – resize by 40%, flip horizontal. Place to the top of the rectangles. Rotate until it lays mostly flat.

111 – resize by 35%. Place to the left side.

132 – resize by 25%. Place where the circle layer & the top of the rectangle layers meet. Duplicate, free rotate, right, 180.

152 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom, just to the right of the trees.

90 – resize by 15%. Place over the left end of the top pine branch.

4 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom of the trees.

109 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom.

72 – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom of the snowman.

94 – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom right of the snowman.

69 – resize by 30%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom right.

32 – resize by 25%. Place over the left side of the gifts.

23 – resize by 25%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom of the lolli.

2 – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom left.

154 – resize by 40%. Paste as a new layer. Duplicate, then rotate right 180.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer just above the ice layer.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Appy a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
