Owl Be There

This tutorial was written by me on June 28th, 2016 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

PTU kit by Pink Paradox Productions called Owl Be There. You can purchase it here.

Template 55 from TwyztedT’s Playroom. You can find it here.

Mask 787 from Trese. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Carpenter ICG.

Filters:

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 – Constellation

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 800 x 607. Resize by 75%.

Delete the credits layer & shadow layers.

Merge together the following layers:

Raster 4, Raster 5, & Copy of Raster 5
Raster 9 & Raster 10

Open your mask & Paper (20). Resize your paper by 60%. Paste your paper as a new layer above the background layer. Apply your mask, merge group. Delete the background layer.

Replace each template layer with the following. Remember to resize each paper by 60%:

Copy of Raster 8 – Paper (13)
Raster 18 – Paper (24)
Raster 11 – Paper (6)
Raster 8 – Paper (13)
Raster 3 – Paper (2)
Raster 4 – Paper (29)
Raster 7 – Paper (18)
Raster 6 – Paper (11)
Raster 12 – Paper (18)
Raster 9 – Paper (4)
Raster 2 – Paper (32) Move the paper down so that the middle of the paper is placed over the squares.

Now lets add our elements:

(124) – resize by 40%. Paste as a new layer just above the half circle layer. Rotate slightly to the left & place to the left side of the half circle. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the right side.
(82) – resize by 20%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom of the half circle, between the branches.
(119) – resize by 30%. Paste as a new layer above the top slat layer. Place to the bottom right of the far right frame. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the far left. Duplicate once more & place in the middle.
(108) – resize by 30%. Place behind the first and second square frame, with the flowers above the frames. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place behind the second & third square frame.
(114) – resize by 35%. Paste as a new layer above the top frame layer.
(104) – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right.
(83) – resize by 15%, flip horizontal. Place in the center of the top orange circle.
(144) – resize by 30%. Place to the right of the orange rose.
(88) – resize by 20%. Place to the top of the first & second square frames.
(15) – resize by 25%. Place over the first square frame.
(5) – resize by 25%, flip horizontal. Place over the third square frame.
(31) – resize by 20%. Place over the middle square frame. On your square frames layer, use your magic wand tool & click inside the middle frame. On the owl necklace layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect.
(13) – resize by 20%. Place between the orange rose & bow.
(88) – flip horizontal then place this previously resized element a little above the deer.
(14) – resize by 25%. Place on top of the second & third square frame.
(37) – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom left of the kitten.
(62) – resize by 30%. Place to the left side.
(146) – resize by 60%. Place to the bottom.
(61) – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom right of the well.
(53) – resize by 25%. Place to the bottom right of the deer.
(42) – resize by 30%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom left of the well.
(83) – flip horizontal. Place the previously resized element to the bottom of the middle square frame.
(95) – resize by 20%. Place to the right of the nest.
(48) – resize by 15%. Place between the wheel & the rose.
(30) – resize by 20%. Place to the right of the deer.

Add your name, add noise, gaussian, 50, monochrome checked.

On your frame back layer, apply Xenofex 2 Constellation using the settings of your choice.

Add your credits/copyright & license info if using a PTU tube. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
