Ice Cream Summer

This tutorial was written by me on July 24th, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Eugene Rzhevskii. You can purchase his tubes here.

PTU collab kit from BLT Dezignz & Mellye Creations called Ice Cream In Summer. This collab is due to be released July 26th & can be purchase here.

Font of choice. I am using Canela Bark.

Note: each element/paper will have the initials of the designer in from of them so you know which folder I will be using it from.

Open a new blank image, 600 x 200.

Open MC P5. Resize by 17%. Paste as a new layer onto your blank image.

Lets add our elements next:

MC E1 – resize by 22%. Paste as a new layer.
MC E22 – resize by 12%. Place in the center of your canvas.
MC E23 – resize by 17%. Place to the bottom.
BLT Umbrella – resize by 16%. Place to the upper right corner.
MC E3 – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom.
BLT IceCreamCone – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom left of the umbrella.
BLT Ribbon1 – resize by 21%, flip vertical. Place to the bottom.
BLT BeachChair – resize by 8%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom left corner.
MC E5 – resize by 6%. Place to the bottom left of the cone.
MC E13 – resize by 8%. Place to the bottom right corner.
BLT Sparkles – resize by 25%. Place to your liking.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Place to the right side of the chair. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to screen, 70.

Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #a18977. Select all, modify, contract by 4. Press delete & deselect. Add another raster layer & floodfill with #d1f3f1. Select all, modify, contract by 2. Press delete & deselect. On the top frame layer, add noise, gaussian, 75, monochrome checked. Merge the two frame layers together.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Duplicate your image & minimize for now. Back to the original image. Merge visible & save as a PNG.

On the duplicate image, crop the desired area of your image so it is 200 x 200 px. Delete the frame & text layers. Repeat the frame & text layers, readd the drop shadow on these layers. Merge visible & save as a PNG.
