Pastel Goth

This tutorial was written by me on July 21st, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Elias Chatzoudis. I purchased this tube when he was with PSP Tubes Emporium, which is now closed. You can now purchase his tubes here.

PTU kit from Kandii Popz Dezignz called Pastel Goth. You can purchase it here.

MSD-TEMP002 by Miranda. You can find it here. *Note: this template is only in PSP format. You will need PSP to open this file.*

Font of choice. I am using Got Heroin?

Mura Meister Copies

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 800 x 705. Resize all layers by 75%. Delete the credits layer. Merge together rasters 2 & 3; 6 & 7; 8 & 9. Convert vector 1 to a raster layer.

First we are going to replace each layer with the following:

Raster 1 – Paper10
Raster 3 – Paper11
Raster 2 – Paper7
Raster 4 – Paper13
Raster 5 – Paper14
Raster 6 – add new raster layer, floodfill with #dee6ed. Repeat with Raster 8.

Lets add our elements:

Glitter – resize by 96%. Paste as a new layer, move this layer to the bottom.
ChainFence – resize by 70%. Place slightly down so you can see a little bit at the bottom.
SkullHand – resize by 35% Place to the far right, slightly down. Move this layer to the top.
Cupcake2 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom of the hand.
EyeString – resize by 40%. Place over the right small circle.
Bones – resize by 62% Place just above the small circle layers.
Stud – resize by 25%, rotate right 45 degrees. Place over the middle of the bones. Duplicate, place to the bottom of the left circle.
String1 – resize by 69%. Place to the bottom.
Butterfly2 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom right of the left small circle. Rotate slightly to the left.
Flower1 – resize by 25%. Place to the lower left of the left small circle. Duplicate, Place to the top of the right small circle.
Cocktail – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left.
Bow2 – resize by 30%. Place to the right of the cocktail, move slightly down. Duplicate & place to the left of the cupcake.
RainbowStar – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom.
Kitty – resize by 50%. Place to the left of the cupcake.

Open your tube & paste as a new layer above your small circles layer.

Mura Meister copies, wallpaper rotate using the default settings. Adjust, blur, motion blur, angle 45, strength 100. Repeat. On the small circles layer, select all, float, defloat. On the mura meister layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Set the blend mode to Soft Light.

Open your tube (or a closeup) and paste as a new layer. Place over the right small circle & place to your liking. On the small circle layer, use your magic wand and click inside the right circle. On the tube layer, selections, invert & press delete. Deselect. Repeat for the left side. When finished, merge the tube layers together. Adjust, gaussian blur 3. Set the blend mode to Overlay, 60. On the original merged layer, set the blend mode to Overlay, 60.

Open your tube again, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer above the stud layers. Place in the middle. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur using the same settings as before. Duplicate the gaussian blur layer. On the top tube layer, set the blend mode to Screen, 60. On the middle tube layer, set the blend mode to Hard Light, 50.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
