This tutorial was written by me on June 5th, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.


PTU kit from Toxic Desirez called Skullerella. You can purchase it here.

Font of choice. I am using Bog Beast Expanded.


Open a new blank image, 600 x 500 px. Open Paper 10 & minimize. In the materials palette, set the foreground to transparent & the background set to your paper pattern.

Using your font, type out your name. If you’re using the same font, I set mine to size 125. Rasterize your text.

Selections, modify, set selection borders, both sides checked, border width 2, anti-alias checked.

Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #29200e. Deselect, add noise, uniform, 75, monochrome checked. Drop shadow, 1, 1, 30, 5. Merge visible.

Lets add our elements:

Splatter – paste as a new layer. Move this layer below your text layer.
String – resize by 77%. Place so the loop of the string is showing above the text.
Key – resize by 25%, flip horizontal. Place to the top of the first letter.
Bones – resize by 25%. Place to the top above the last letter.
Chain – resize by 58%. Place to the bottom of the text. Move this layer to the top.
Glass – resize by 25%. Place to the far right.
Bow 3 – resize by 40% Place to your liking.
Skeleton Cat – resize by 20%. Place to the bottom between the second & third letter.
Roses & Skulls – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom left of the text. Duplicate & place to the right side.
Raven – resize by 20%. Place to the left side of the bones, to the top of the text.
Sparkles – resize by 80%. Paste as a new layer.

Add any credits you would like to add. Apply a drop shadow of choice, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
